My aim is to help students find their own voice through a very tradition approach to oil painting. Whether you are interested in representational or non-representational work, there is the need for structure. I request that students coming into my regular weekly classes have the experience of my Understanding Color workshop so they will understand the discipline of working with a color wheel to depict light. The Understanding Color workshop answers questions on how to buy, store, and mix oil color for clarity and value control as well as how to use opaque and transparent color for maximum power. After taking the workshop on color, students are welcome to come to class with their own reference material. Guidance is given on formatting the composition of the painting and developing a palette for each painting’s sense of light. You work at your own pace while having the advantage of hearing and seeing the problem solving techniques of others as they develop along with you. There is much to be said about working with like minded people in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. My landscape, oil paintings, still life, figurative paintings are available for sale at the Bucks County Gallery of Fine Art in New Hope PA. www.buckscountygalleryart.com

“I think of myself as a representational artist with a twist of impressionism". I strive for the Chiaroscuro effects of strong lights, dark shadows and saturated colors. I love old, timeworn objects and feel a sense of respect for the people who used and cared for them. I hope my paintings reflect the quiet drama of simpler times.
My creativity was ignited by the environment that was my childhood playground. I grew up in rural Maryland and eventually studied at Maryland College of Art & Design. With a profound love of the land and all its creatures, it is understandable that my artistic voice expresses this passion. Whether I travel to the Canadian Rockies or the Australian Outback, the inspiration will always be manifested on canvas.

Matt Savaiko (b. 1965) is an emerging contemporary realist Artist, who paints in the classical tradition. He was born and raised near Red Bank, New Jersey, a quiet town settled just between the Beaches of Sea Bright, and the Horse country of Colts Neck.
From a very young age Matt was mentored in drawing, the arts, and composition by his sister, Lauren Savaiko, also a professionally accomplished artist. Although fine art did not play a major role in Matt’s life as he grew up, he still enjoyed creating in all mediums.
While experimenting in all mediums Matt found oil paint to be the best thing next to sliced bread, and has been focused in Fine Art oil painting since
A Mikki Senkarik hangs well with abstracts, oriental or traditional paintings. Her transitional art spans the bridge between modern and realism. Mikki's special color mixing system is designer friendly and compatible with the latest in decor accents. Mikki's Senkarik's art is generational and will be passed on from generation to generation. Senkarik's Mediterranean and Tuscany landscapes and seascapes are breathtaking. She has no equal with Santa Fe Style landscapes or Caribbean seascapes. Senkarik is a master gardener and many of the flowers in her paintings are from her flower gardens.
Born in 1948, Nancy Peach grew up along the Chesapeake Bay in the Maryland countryside.
Most of her work is done around these rural areas with a preference for tranquil sites at sunrise or twilight.
"There is something magical about this time of day with the light and shadows giving the scene a peaceful atmospheric quality."
She is a master of composition, while creating the soft, luminous paintings she is well known for.
Her primary art education was through her artistic family, and later by furthering her studies at the Corcoran Museum's School of Art in Washington, D.C. and the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Va. Peach eventually began teaching to pass on these academic methods to the next generation and to strengthen her own skills.
She is an elected member of Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi Club, NYC, and American Society of Marine Art. Her work has been exhibited in numerous museum exhibitions and institutions including the Maritime Institute of Research and Development, Washington, D.C. (permanent collection), Kentucky Highlands Museum and Mystic Maritime Museum. To date she has over 500 separate works in private and corporate collections. Every painting is an experience of life, part of the journey and I love that journey. Just gazing at a tree with its twists and turns is exciting. Nature is ever-changing with an inexhaustable source of inspiration. When I look at our natural surroundings, the landscape, the ocean and sands of the beach, the blades of grass, the rippling water, the serene greens of summer, the sweet blossoms of spring and even the blue and purplish grays of winter, there is no question of what inspires me. All of that has a powerful effect and influence upon what I paint awakening a passion from within my soul. So, yesterday, today and always while on my journey through life, with a whispered prayer of gratitude to God, I aspire to capture that spirit, serenity and beauty of nature in the hope that your spirit will experience a tranquil uplifting if even for a few moments in time. I invite you to join me on that journey.
