Katharine Krieg

View this Collection

Katharine Krieg (b.1970) is an American Realist artist.  Inspired by her surroundings she feels her paintings are her answers to what she observes. A quiet sense of introspection and the passing of time are themes that recur in her works of still life and landscape. She finds the medium of watercolor holds the most successful avenue for achieving this.

Her subject matter is gathered from the fields and farms nearby but she also enjoys exploring the rugged coast of New England and the artist colony of Monhegan Island, ME as well. She is honored to have been accepted into national as well as regional open juried shows and invitational shows. Her work can be found in collections along the east coast from Virginia to Maine

Katharine is a member of the American Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Greater Norristown Art League, Perkiomen Valley Art Center and Pottstown Area Artist Guild. All of Katharine's paintings are attractively custom framed.
